Seminars

We will be hosting 4 brief 30-minute educational seminars:

  1. Indoor Air Quality Technologies from Dynamic and UVDI
    – Moe
    Saqqa & Jason Henderson, HTS
     4:00pm or 6:00pm
Learn about how and where to apply proven technologies for superior IAQ. This session will take a closer look at UV and electrostatic filtration, covering the advantages of each and how to apply them properly to your HVAC system.
  2. Waste Water Energy Recovery from SHARC
    – Brock Trimble,  Sharc
     – 4:30pm or 6:30pm
What is wastewater energy recovery, and how does it apply to the future of energy efficiency and decarbonization? Join SHARC Energy Systems to learn how this previously overlooked source of energy loss from buildings can be utilized to endlessly recover and recycle energy within projects ranging from individual multi-family residential buildings to commercial and industrial applications and even up to district energy networks.
  3. The Future of Refrigerants: Change Is All Around Us – Bill Dietrich, Daikin 5:00pm or 7:00pm
Where are we headed in North America?  The commercial air conditioning world is entering the next phase of refrigerant regulations.  The focus is on global warming potential and the reduction of greenhouse gasses.  New fluids with zero ozone depletion and very low global warming potential will be discussed, as well as the processes and timeline required to bring these fluids to market.  Regulatory actions that are driving these changes will also be covered, as well as common misconceptions.
  4. Industrial Air Filtration from AQC Tarandeep Sian, HTS5:30pm or 7:30pm

Process dust, welding fumes, vehicle exhaust – Filtration Fundamentals
Fugitive dust; fumes.  Managing these contaminants is a challenge industrial/commercial/educational facilities face on a regular basis.  This session provides an overview of the associated risks, technologies that comprise available management systems, and best practices to promote system longevity and reduced operating costs.

Daikin VR Experience

  • Explore the Magnitude® WMT chiller and Rebel Applied packaged rooftop system through virtual reality (VR) using Oculus for Business Quest 2.0 headsets.

  • The VR technology is a game changer as users are guided through experiences that viscerally demonstrate the competitive advantages of both the Magnitude® WMT chiller and Rebel Applied packaged rooftop system.

  • Use X-ray vision to see inside a hyper-realistic, life-sized 3D version of the Magnitude® WMT chiller and hear how quiet it runs from a 3D audio soundtrack.

  • The “Meet the Rebel Applied” simulation highlights the system’s configurability, allowing users to choose from verticals such as hospitals, schools or offices, and see the buildings’ rooftops using X-ray vision. Users will be able to see inside the unit, operate the equipment and watch animations explaining its inner workings.
